Honors Program Johnson & Wales University's Honors Program offers academically talented students the opportunity to enhance their educational experience through challenging coursework, close faculty mentorships, and stimulating research opportunities. Enhance Your Education Honors students deepen their education through small, rigorous, student-centered seminars. These courses are designed to engage students at a higher level, fostering independent thinking and the pursuit of original scholarship. Engage in Research Honors students conclude their educational experience by completing a Senior Thesis or Capstone Project. This experience provides students with the unique opportunity to conduct individual research based upon their own scholarly interests. It also allows them to work one-on-one with some of the most distinguished faculty members on campus. The end result is a substantial piece of original work that will demonstrate intellectual aptitude and initiative to potential employers and/or graduate schools. Discover Our Community Honors students join a diverse community of motivated students and dedicated faculty members from across the University. Program membership enables students to forge strong connections with like-minded individuals committed to academic excellence. Distinguish Yourself Students who fulfill all Honors Program Requirements receive the University Honors Scholar designation on their transcript and diploma. This is one of the University’s highest academic distinctions and will help students set themselves apart when moving beyond their college career. The Honors Program is affiliated with the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), the nation's premier organization of undergraduate Honors programs.
